I don’t really care much about this car despite having owned two S550 Mustangs. I just hope it drives GT350 prices down a bit more...

Sometimes, I feel like I want a mustang. Then I just realize, I could just save up for a powertrain package for my Crown Victoria for a fifth of the price of a new Mustang.

It wouldn’t even be remotely the same.

Is the GT500 basically Ford’s Hellcat? These have never been about track duty, or even really handling in general, have they?
Agreed on the 350. Whatever speeds up the depreciation curve, I will take

No, but it would beat the everloving shit out of a 1999 Mustang GT.

And you’d end up with a tenth the car...

eh it probably wont affect 350 prices. Two different cars i think. gt500 has always been more about lots of power and straight lines

Perhaps, but we also live in a time where half of car culture is essentially collecting life size models of cars. So maybe, just maybe, the collector mentality that has driven up GT350R prices and held up GT350 prices a little will shift to the new hotness and distract from the GT350.
It’s not like the non-R GT350 is that valuable to begin with, so any small change in asking price will help make it that much more affordable.
